Noisome: very offensive, particularly to the sense of smell, as in noisome fumes.

Noisy: loud.

Note: The human ear can detect only one of these words, that is, noisy. The other, noisome, is better associated with the nose.

Foul words is but foul wind, and foul wind is but foul breath, and foul breath is noisome; therefore I will depart unkissed.
