The third line of the first verse is "Spied a lady on a runaway horse." How could Jim Dandy rescue himself from runaway horse? This is a good example of people not listening to the music or just perpetuating the first thing that they see on the Internet. This incorrect line is everywhere.

Grammar.com
Nobody writes or says "advisery." Hence, advisor is the better choice, just like protestor is better than protester. The -er spellings are for people who just write what they hear and don't know any better.
