personal pronoun

This Grammar.com article is about personal pronoun — enjoy your reading!

We have seven kinds of pronouns in the English language (personal pronouns, reflexive and intensive pronouns, relative pronouns, interrogative pronouns, demonstrative pronouns, indefinite pronouns, and reciprocal pronouns).

The personal pronouns refer to three persons: (1) first person, (2) second person, and (3) third person. They exhibit case (subjective, objective, possessive) and number (singular, plural). Finally, the third-person singular pronouns reveal gender.

For a complete list, see person.
