Introduction

The hyphen is one of the most underused, one of the most incorrectly used, and one of the most important punctuation marks in writing.

It plays a role in showing ranges of numbers. It often incorrectly appears in words beginning with prefixes. And it is often totally missing from compound words, particularly the phrasal adjective.

    In the second paragraph of the introduction, "totally missing" is redundant. Delete "totally."
