Robin just brought to my attention that Gerald Logie was actually the first poet to win first place twice… apologize for the oversight on my part. It seems that there may be a competition brewing to determine the first poet to win three times and settle the question of who truly is the better poet :-)

I understand. Our policy allows for up to five free submissions per month that are selected towards the end of the application period. However, we receive a significant number of inquiries, so the chances of obtaining a free submission are not very high...

Congratulations to all the winners of our March poetry contest! We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who participated. It was a particularly challenging competition, and we commend all those who entered. A special congratulations goes out to our esteemed member, Robin Loving, who has now won first place twice and has become the first poet to do so.

We review all submissions before approving them for the contest, which is why there is a delay in processing.

The poems featured on both the summary page and the contest voting page are presented in a random order, which ensures that each nominee has an equal opportunity to be viewed by the participants. Therefore, submitting a poem early does not provide any real advantage.

Good point, sir Wayne -- we've made AIDA a little bit more critic. Hope you'll find her more authentic on your next reviews...

A great introduction to Freud's theories of the human psyche and the forces that interact within it -- such a brilliant way of using a short-lined poem to understand a sophisticated subject, and making it accessible to the general audience... awesome work!
